Here you can the most amazing group of young actors in Hout Bay at the Magnet Theatre his year. The Academy has been running internationally now for nearly 40 years and we are proud of the strong tradition of the performance arts that we have carried through in Hout Bay.

Our new and exciting teacher, Bridget, always brings out the best in these children from her vast experience on stage, as a casting agent and as a wonderfully inspired teacher. The programme is designed to take children to the next level of their development. One aspect of this development is a public performance in a professional theatre each year.
The Academy runs three class on Monday afternoons in Hout Bay at the Museum Library Hall in Andrews Road:
Primary (Grades R-3) 3-4 pm
Upper Primary (Grades 4-6) 4-5 pm
Youth Theatre (Grades 7-12) 5-6 pm

Also the Academy runs class for the Trinity College Grades in Speech and Drama, and children interested in pursuing a professional qualification in acting, this is a good start. Later on they can gain their teacher’s qualification through the Academy.
