Phoenix Kirkwood, a student at the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Hout
Bay, won a competition to design a new t-shirt for the Academy. His idea
which with a world and a man standing on top with the wording 'All the
world's my stage' was the outright winner.
Principal of the Academy, Duncan Rice 'The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is a child-centred drama school and therefore we try to use the creative ideas of the children as much as possible. Phoenix's design really sums up what our Academy is about in developing confidence, self-esteem and giving children the ability to believe in themselves. Changing Shakespeare's line slightly creates the dramatic effect we were looking for on a t-shirt which is about a drama school.'
This T-shirt will be worn by children throughout the world who attend the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy so we are very proud of his design.'
