This evening we witnessed an amazing production of Macbeth done in mask by our Grade 8s at Spine Road High School under the direction of our wonderful teacher, Annemarie Hattingh. We are very proud of this fantastic performance and the children were just wonderfully confident on the stage.
The Academy's programme is designed to develop good communication skills, to help children to be able to speak in public and express themselves clearly. The programme has been running for 35 years internationally and the children follow a drama course that students follow worldwide.
One of the aims of our programme for High Schools is to give them an understanding of the famous playwrights and a way into Shakespeare. These plays give the students a good understanding of the plots and themes of Shakespeare so one day in their studies of the bard they will have a head start.
