Under the direction of their brilliant teacher, Liande, the children of Pinelands put on the most fantastic production at the Magnet Theatre to a delighted audience. The Academy's programme which is about developing confidence in communication is clearly working in Tokai because the children were vibrant and articulate on the stage.
This group had the people watching spell bound by their excellent dancing, singing and hilarious character acting in a story about a failed Travel Agent. Broken buses, poor tours and lack of timekeeping were some of consequences of the inept tour guides which was performed with such conviction on the stage.
The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy runs its classes at the Tokai Library Hall on Tuesday afternoons at the following times:
