The Helen O'Grady Drama is at the forefront of developing young actors for the theatre, stage and film at the Mitchell's Plain Indoor Sports Centre in Portlands. With Sue Wigham, our wonderful teacher, at the helm, these children just go from strength to strength. Their play 'Freaky Creatures' at the Magnet Theatre in Observatory was outstanding and this was down to Sue's wonderful nurturing of talent in the area.
The Academy's Saturday afternoon classes are highly popular amongst the youth of Mitchell's Plain and many students come from the many high schools in the area.
