Probably one of the best performances ever seen at the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy by the Fish Hoek Youth Theatre
Duncan Rice, the Principal of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Cape Town, said 'This is one of the best Helen O'Grady performances he has ever seen. Duncan has a unique experience of watching Helen O'Grady productions throughout Africa, in Asia and Europe where he was the Principal of the Northern Ireland branch of Helen O'Grady.
We can honestly say this performance was quite outstanding in its characterisation, cleverly constructed choreography, and excellent comic timing. These Fish Hoek drama students pulled something off which was quite unique. Thanks go to Liande their brilliant teacher who really inspired them and directed them to perform a production that would outstrip anything in the West End or Broadway.
Many of these students have been with the Academy for many years and the time spent developing their craft has been well worth it. Many of our students regularly act in film, theatre and television and directors always say how easy they are to work with because of their discipline and focus.
