Everyone is a star in the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy - our Camps Bay Upper Primary drama class shows this!
Many of the students who attend the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's classes in Camps Bay have been with us for many years. This was evident by their star-studded performance at the Magnet Theatre last night. Directed and taught by Heleen van Eck, their magnificent teacher, these children showed such great skill on the stage, not only in their characterisation but in their overall confident stage presence.
The Academy's plays are so written that every child is on stage and has a huge contribution to the overall success. The children sing, dance and act on the stage and the Academy encourages children to be vibrant and express themselves clearly on the stage.
The Upper Primary group's performance of 'Jetlag Tours' was one of the best we have seen with absolutely brilliant acting and improvisation on the stage.
