Enthusiasm for life is one aspect which the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy develops - Sunningdale Upper Primary and Youth Theatre showed this on stage
The audience at the Magnet Theatre were blown away by the magnificent performances of the combined Upper Primary and Youth Theatre group. Thanks to their inspired teacher, Annemarie Hattingh, the children have learnt how enthusiasm for life can be transformed on to the stage. Annemarie has developed some amazing actors already and we are so proud of these children's achievements.
'Jetlag Tours' was an hilarious catalogue of mishaps and poor organisation by an ineffective Tour Company.
The Academy's international programme which runs at the Bowling Club Hall in the Sunningdale Sports Complex on Tuesdays aims to bring out an enthusiastic approach to life. Research has shown that children who develop enthusiasm in drama, will become enthusiastic in all other aspects of their life, especially their school work. Drama empowers children in this way and they love to participate in all activities to make their life richer.
Classes run at the Sunningdale Sports Complex on Tuesday afternoons for children from the Table View, Parklands, Blouberg and Big Bay areas.
Lower Primary 3-4 pm (Beginners' course)
Upper Primary 4-5 pm (Intermediate course)
Youth Theatre 5-6 pm (Advanced Acting Class)
