Children from the Plumstead drama studio in Cape Town show how drama gives such confidence from an early age when they made their speeches
At the end of a magnificent production of 'How the Lion got its Roar', children from the Lower Primary class were presented with certificates and trophies. What was so incredible about this, those who received their award (Oscar) for 100 lessons had to make a speech and the children who gave their speeches were amazing and so articulate that the parents all commented on what a difference this course has made in their lives. To be a confident speaker is what the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is about.
Dana Pesskin, their teacher, taught and directed their play beautifully and the children's enthusiasm for drama was very evident in their confidence on stage. Whenever you head to our Plumstead studio, the children are having such fun with the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's international curriculum.
