An amazing performance directed by Dana Pesskin, our Goodwood teacher, at the Magnet Theatre last night. The students acting really shone out on the stage. Some of these students have been attending our drama classes for many years and they are turning into fine young actors and communicators, showing great depth in their characterisation.
The play, 'Freaky Creatures' was utterly hilarious as a spoof on the horror genre. Their costumes makeup and acting, together with the smoke, created an utterly magical experience.
All students in our Youth Theatre follow our international curriculum to develop young actors. Classes are held at the Goodwood Library Hall on Thursday afternoons and the students just love any opportunity to perform and develop their acting skills. The great thing about this group is because of the high standards they set for themselves, they are really now advanced in their performance abilities.
Drama classes at the Goodwood Library Hall, run at the following times on Thursday:
Grades R-6 (Composite Class) 4-5 pm
Grades 7-18 (Youth Theatre) 5-6 pm
