A magnificent performance of 'How the Lion got its Roar' by the Grade R children of St Joseph's Marist College, Cape Town
An amazing performance by the Grade R children of 'How the Lion got its Roar' showed the great development of these young children with their fantastic teacher, Debbie Robertson. One of the aims of the Academy is to give children confidence in communication and the idea is for the children to really enjoy their experience on the stage. If children enjoy performing then they will enjoy communicating to an audience and thereby the fear of communicating in front of large groups is eradicated.
The performance this play was quite amazing because the children were just so enthusiastic and loved telling this story to the delighted audience. We can see these children really growing from year to year. Confidence is a huge gift that the Helen O'Grady gives to children.
We would like to thank the parents for entering into the spirit with such beautiful costumes and some amazing makeup.
