The children at Islamia College in Cape Town have been following the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's international programme for many years now as an after school club. The parents whose children attend these classes know how effective this programme is in developing strong confident speakers.
If you want to succeed in life, it is very simple: you have to be a good communicator. Most jobs require you to be able to talk with confidence and communicate well but sadly many people don't have these skills.
The Academy has found that those children who attend its classes are more likely to take on leadership roles in class, at school and later in life in the business world. Drama gives you the confidence to engage with people, the skills of socialisation and the ability to deal with difficult situations with ease.
Our wonderful teachers, Sunette Strydom, and Sherna Botto, have really enhanced the children's experience drama over the years and we so pleased with the expertise they have offered the children in these essential life-skills.
