Training children in musical theatre is a wonderful way into three genres of performance at the Cape Town Academy's holiday programme!

Worldwide we have a rich tradition of musical theatre and the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy believes that all children can act, sing and dance. We train children during the holidays in developing a love of these art-forms and together they give children an experience beyond just educational. Firm bonds are formed, appreciation and an understanding of the performance arts, and confidence is developed.

The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's holiday programme has been running now for nearly 10 years in Cape Town, and this year's programme is focused on Opera training. The children are being introduced in a fun way to all aspects of opera and therefore will end the programme with a great love for this art form.
