Imagine taking all the stories from our childhood and turning them on their head! Jack from Jack and the Beanstalk giving away his golden eggs and Goldilocks saying sorry to the three bears for breaking and entering their house! Then you have the start of a magnificent play which was acted by the children of the French School in Cape Town.
This year's productions as the French School were quite amazing and this play directed by Debbie Robertson was absolutely delightful. Clear projected voices and clever acting brought this sparkly play to the fore. We are so proud of their achievements and the development in language ability. Many of the children in these performances are French speaking and to be able to act in a play so well on the stage in English is a remarkable achievement.
The Academy runs its drama programmes throughout Cape Town and is one of the largest drama schools in the world. www.dramaafrica.com or telephone 021 6747478
