Today was 'WORLD THEATRE DAY' and what better way than to do free drama workshops for John Graham Primary in Cape Town
The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy was so pleased to be able to offer free drama workshops for John Graham Primary School in Cape Town, this morning to celebrate World Theatre Day. The children in the Grade 4 and 5 classes were absolutely wonderful and it just shows the immense talent at the school.
The Academy's programme is geared to help the shyer child develop confidence and the children who have talent are also taken to the next level of their development. Drama is a wonderful way to learn how to express yourself and speak clearly but also learn how to emphasise with other.
Empathy is one aspect of theatre-going which grips and audience but teaching children how to understand and work with others in our sometimes fractious world can only be a good thing!
