Here you can see photos of our wonderful school drama programmes in Cape Town. The Academy runs its international programme in many schools in Cape Town and teaching children to love and enjoy performing Shakespeare is one of the aims.
Here you can see Bergvliet Primary School, one of the top primary schools in Cape Town, rehearsing for their Shakespeare evening at the end of April. The three plays each of the Grade 7 classes will be performing is 'Romeo and Juliet', 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. The plays have been written to make Shakespeare accessible to children so when they reach high school they will have a good all-round idea of the language and plots of many of the bard's great plays.
