For many years now the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy has been running its international drama programme at Islamia College Primary School during the afternoons during the week. The school and parents of this fine school really do love the way in which the programme develops confidence for communication and self-esteem in children using drama and performance as the medium. The school has a great belief in this education and they have build a dedicated speech and drama room for this purpose.
Because of the overwhelming response by the school's parents, the Academy has 3 dedicated drama teachers working at the school.
In September the children get the opportunity of showing their skills in a public performance at a theatre in Cape Town.
The Academy runs its school programmes in some of Cape Town's top schools. We are proud of our tradition of developing children in these essential life-skills.
