Brilliant acting by our Rondebosch Youth Theatre for High School students on Monday afternoons

The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy has some fantastic young actors attending classes on Mondays with our highly experienced teacher, Sue Wigham. Sue also teaches our adult actors, amongst the many classes she takes around Cape Town. The students absolutely adore acting and this can be clearly seen in the brilliant improvised pieces using a prop. Today's class the prop was a box and the resulting clever performances just showed what excellent spontaneous actors they are.

The Academy focuses on performance arts and develops students in communication skills. These important skills give students training not only in film and theatre acting but also confidence in speech making, overcoming shyness and developing articulate speakers. These are future life-skills which will be of huge benefit to children no matter what career they end up following.

Someone who can put themselves across with confidence will be more likely to succeed in life. Our aim is to develop all-round confident children through our international drama curriculum.
