Another Fantastic Mime performance today at the French School in Cape Town (Ecole française du Cap) by Markus Schmid and his family
We were again incredibly blessed to have the performance of one of the world's leading mime artists at the French School in Cape Town. The children watching were absolutely captivated by the whole show which lasts about an hour. By their interest afterwards, they showed that they had been following the story and the symbolism from the start.
Markus' show which toured the whole of South America before coming to South Africa, tackles the subject of water pollution around the world.
Mime ties in very well with the work we do in the drama curriculum at the French School in Cape Town. Children learn the art of non-verbal communication using the Academy's famous drama techniques.
