A big WOW to Portia and York Road Primary's performance of 'The Bold Buccaneers' at the Magnet Theatre in Cape Town
We would like to say a big thank you to our wonderful teacher, Sue Wigham, for the outstanding production of 'The Bold Buccanneers' performed by the children of Portia Primary and York Road Primary at the Magnet Theatre this year. Their production was exceptional with brilliant acting and clear projected speech. We are so proud of the work that these children have done over the course of this year, not only with the curriculum but also with the rehearsals for this play.
The Academy has had a long association with Portia Primary and York Road. In fact the programme has been run for nearly 10 years for the children of this area and parents have seen the huge results. Some of our past students have acted in film, television and professional theatre and we are proud of all their achievements.
The theatres in Cape Town enjoy using our child actors as they are professional and have good voice training for theatre.
