Helen O'Grady Drama Academy's Holiday Programme in Cape Town is under way focusing on dance, singing and acting using the theme 'Though the Looking Glass'
Every July holiday, the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy runs its famous musical stage school in Cape Town. The programme involves the students working on skills in the three genres of musical theatre: acting, dancing and singing. The Academy uses expert teachers to train children in these skills and already on the second day, the children are showing great creativity.
On Friday they will perform in a variety show for parents and friends showing many of their new-found skills and how the have been stretched mentally, physically and creatively.
The Academy runs highly education programmes during the holidays and during school term times. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Cape Town is one of the largest drama and acting schools in the world with over 3,000 children attending classes each week.
Our wonderful vice-principal, Sunette Strydom, is our course director and many parents have already commented on her incredible organisation and kindness to the children.
