We are extremely proud of the children's achievements in our drama school running in Melkbos at the Melkbosstrand Library on Thursday afternoons. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is one of the world's largest drama schools with over 3000 children attending classes each week in Cape Town alone. Children follow and international drama programme to develop confidence, self-esteem, communication and performance skills.
Children in Melkbosstrand follow the same speech and drama programme used in our schools in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries worldwide. This programme is about children's development through drama but focuses on communication skills in English. Research has shown that children who participate in after school drama activities are more likely to achieve better results academically.
