Students from the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy appear on National Television in a live chat show on Hectic 9

Congratulations to all our students from our studios around Cape Town who appeared on Hectic 9 Television show on SABC yesterday. The hour-long show was devoted to confidence and speaking ability and how developing confidence affects your ability to speak in public. Our students really demonstrated this well on television. Improvisation is one of the keys to becoming confident. Improvisation is the ability to be able to speak off the cuff without a prepared speech. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is famous for training children in this ability and thereby help them to be excellent public speakers.

Not being confident when speaking in public is a huge problem facing many adults and the youth of today. This was further amplified by the programme yesterday where the callers and emails all reflected young people's problem with public speaking and shyness.

These can all be overcome through the nurturing process in the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy. The Academy operates throughout South Africa so there is probably a class near you.

What is more we also train our students in acting for television, theatre, radio and film.
