'The Sword in the Stone' was an incredible play acted with such conviction at Bergvliet Primary by Grade 6

Another fine production by the Grade 6 class at Bergvliet Primary School under the direction of our fantastic teacher, Anastacia Isaacs. We are so pleased that our children who take these in-school drama classes have developed such excellent skills using our highly proactive programme which increases confidence, self-esteem, communication and performance skills. Paul and Michele Griffiths take over the Helen O Grady - Cape Town South Franchise

NEW beginnings... It was announced publicly this week that my wife, Michele, and I will be running the Cape Town - South Helen O Grady Franchise with Sunette Strydom as Principal as of the beginning of 2018. It is our great pleasure to be inheriting this franchise which has been so lovingly nurtured by Duncan Rice and Gavin Pollock. The pressure is certainly on to maintain the amazing work they have done! But rest assured we are ready for the challenge! In this last week Michele and myself completed our intensive Principal and Teacher training with Duncan and Gavin. What a treat! As if it were possible, we feel even more inspired by this amazing aca demy. The Kidnapping of Kitty O'Hara

Bergvliet Primary Grade 7 performed this evening the 'Kidnapping of Kitty O'Hara', a play set in 1920s Gangster New York. Students worked hard on their American accents and really brought this play to life, with much humour and interesting staging. Part of this arts evening included pieces from the music department. The Bergvliet Primary has a strong tradition of developing the creative arts and the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy is proud to be associated with this wonderful school.
