Students from the Youth Theatre Group of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy in Newlands always have a great time with their fabulous teacher, Tronell Lessing. The Academy has been running for many years in Newlands. There are classes for 5-8 year olds, 9-12 years and our Youth Theatre seen here for 13-18 years.
The Academy has also started its famous Kindy Drama Programme in Cape Town for ages 3-5 years.
Students in the Youth Theatre learn acting skills but also focus on public speaking and presentation skills, developing really confident individuals.
