Drama is extremely popular at John Graham Primary School. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy runs classes throughout Cape Town and the Western Cape. Having the programme based at a school means that parents don't have to worry about transport issues. The drama school has a long association with John Graham, having been running the programme now for four years at the school. Many of the children have been with the Academy since it started. The Academy also runs an outside studio at the Plumstead Methodist Church Hall on Wednesday afternoons.
