Pro Ed House children from Rondebosch rehearse for their annual show




The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy which runs the school drama programme for Pro Ed House School is currently rehearsing a couple of short pieces to show their parents the remarkable development that they have made over the course of the last two terms. Sue Wigham, the Academy's teacher goes to the school once a week to run the world famous drama programme for schools. The drama programme:

 Develops creativity in problem solving
Challenges our perceptions about the world & ourselves
Explores emotions, thoughts & dreams
Deals with conflict resolution in real life situations & an understanding of how we react
Develops confident public speaking & communication skills
Enhances a positive self image
Teaches self control, discipline, tolerance & empathy
Furthers the valuable skills of collaboration
 Reinforces the school curriculum
Is active learning – kinaesthetic and empathetic
Allows deeper depths of understanding
And enriches the life of the school and thereby the school experience of each end every child.
