The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy runs its international drama school programme at the Edgemead Scout Hall on Monday afternoons after school. The programme started in Edgemead this year and the classes have really developed. The Academy has over 3000 students attending classes each week throughout Cape Town in both the Northern and Southern Suburbs. This highly popular programme develops confidence, communication and creativity using an inspired theatre arts programme. Under the direction of Megan Sell, the children have flourished and each and every child is nurtured in a warm and friendly manner.
All the children received an award at the end of the performance and the principal, Duncan Rice, was proud of the work achieved.
