'A Slice of Life' at the French School in Cape Town

The French School in Cape Town is one of the many schools around the world who use the Helen O'Grady Drama Programme as part of their school drama. What is more unique in this school is that the drama programme is used as a method of teaching the spoken English language and at the same time this forms part of their creative arts programme at the school.

Here you can see the pupils performing their end-of-year productions. This play, 'Slice of Life' takes place in the park of a busy city and all the different characters that would appear in a day. Under the direction of their teacher, Angela Doidge, the students really showed great ability and development in the second year at the school.
