Drama Teachers from the Cape Town University of Technology work with the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy

Cape Town University of Technology (CPUT) second year drama teachers participated in a workshop given by Helen O'Grady Drama Academy Principal, Duncan Rice. The drama department of this Cape Town University which is the old Mowbray Teachers' College, has a fantastic drama department. The students responded really well to the Academy's programme and many will be attending the Academy's studios around Cape Town to get practical drama teaching skills.

Duncan Rice also ran a workshop on Augusto Boal for the University's third year Education students and will follow up this next week with a further course.

In the photo, you can see Philip Thraves and his second year students acting out a mime to music. Philip played the part of a Woolly Mammouth!
