The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy offers its international drama school to many rural locations around South Africa. Caledon which is famous for its casino and hot springs, is home to the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy which currently meets at the Parkland hotel opposite the new Mr Price store.
Many of the students have been with the Academy over 2 years now, since classes were started in Caledon. The current teacher, Francine Brook, can be seen having lots of fun with the students during the first drama class of the term.
Students from the primary and high schools in Caledon and Overberg region attend these classes to develop not only confidence and creativity but more importantly good English communication skills. Students perform in an annual production at the end of year at the Town Hall in the Overberg Municipality.
