The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy has teamed up with Lanner House in Worcester to run Grade 1-3 classes. Here you can see the learners in full dramatic action with their teacher, Jacolize Kroon. The Academy began classes in April 2009 and already the programme is proving to be a huge success with these eager young people. Lanner House is a school which recognises the development of the all-round child, and their wonderful Headmaster, Arthur Preston, saw the great need in Worcester to have a professional drama school based at their school. Already we can see how the pupils have developed in confidence, self-esteem but most importantly essential communication skills, which are the foundations to success in life. The warm, caring atmosphere of the school is an ideal environment in which experiential learning can take place. The students will later this term begin work on their end-of-year production.
