Today we visited our Mitchell's Plain Drama School. The Helen O'Grady Drama Academy has been operating now for 4 years in Mitchell's Plain with great success. Many of our students have appeared in film, radio and television. In fact one of our students was the presenter on Hackshack, a South African Broadcasting Corporation programme for for 6 months. The Academy operates from the Indoor Sports Centre on Saturdays from 3-5 pm. Carol Johnson is one of the Academy's longstanding teachers. She is a superb teacher with a great skill a direction. Carol has produced some amazing plays and her version of Cinderella in Africa, a Pantomine was outstanding.
