Throughout Cape Town schools use the International Helen O'Grady Drama programme for clubs and their drama programme. The Academy programme is really proactive in that it brings communication skills to the fore so that young people exude confidence in all circumstances. This is no exception at Stratford Primary, where many of the children are Afrikaans speaking as their first language, but the programme really helps to develop excellent English pronunciation. In today's fast moving world, we all need to communicate in articulately in English.
And the Academy also develops fantastic acting skills and the class is filled with budding young actors! Maybe we will soon have the next actor in Sevende Laan or Egoli!
