St Joseph's Marist College in Cape Town certainly know how to do drama with the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy
This year the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy started its international drama programme at St Joseph's Marist College and what an overwhelming response from the parents and children. Classes are full to the brim with our wonderful teacher, Debbie, who always brings out the best in the children using the Academy's dynamic curriculum.
The Academy's programme goes from 3-18 years and there is a different curriculum for all the age-groups. The focus in the early stages is self-esteem, communication and confidence. As they move up the levels in the Academy performance arts and acting training forms and integral part of the curriculum.
At the end of the year all the students will perform in the Magnet Theatre in Cape Town. The plays in the Academy are so written that everyone has a main part to play. No-one in our Academy is just a tree - everyone is special!
